Trafficking in Harmful Intoxicants
ORC § 2903.03
Defined
- Distributing a harmful intoxicant
- To a person who is 18 or older,
- With reason to believe,
- That the harmful intoxicant will be used with purpose to induce intoxication or similar physiological effects.
Potential Penalties
Trafficking in harmful intoxicants can be a felony of either the fourth or the fifth degree and a conviction can be penalized by a prison sentence of 6-18 months and a fine of up to $5,000. Additionally, the court may suspend an offender’s driver’s or commercial driver’s license or permit.
