Overview
While Former Ohio law forbade any promiscuous intercourse, today, there must be pay involved in order for the activity to be illegal. However, today’s law is more far-reaching in the sense that it forbids any sexual activity and not just intercourse. Potential Penalties
Prostitution is a misdemeanor of the third degree and is penalizable of up to 60 days in jail and a penalty of up to $500. Recent efforts of Ohio judges have been made to rehabilitate people convicted of prostitution instead of penalizing it.
